Restaurant Review: Bourbon

Bourbon was a very promising choice . We saw an Instagram post of food from there and decided to give it a try. One of us (Damien) had previously been there for dinner , so we agreed to "add it to the list" . We decided to venture out to the Adams Morgan neighborhood of DC in the cold (no one likes winter weather) for brunch on Sunday, January 17th . The atmosphere of Bourbon would be perfect in the spring ; it’s not a huge place , but it is rustic and definitely comfortable inside. Bourbon does not take Sunday reservations , so we got there early to ensure that we could get a table in a reasonable amount of time. Thankfully, it wasn’t too busy and we were able to sit down right away.   Simone's Review: I previously reviewed their brunch menu online and was hell bent on ordering the Beignets with Mixed Fruit and the Fried Chicken Sandwich; however, life does not always want us to have beignets. Our first blog post with a review is coming soon! We went to Bourbon in Washington, DC for brunch on Sunday, January 17th and have lots to share with you, so stay tuned for that! Maybe we'll be cool and post the reviews of the restaurants that we've already been to on #TBT and #FBF. Here are all of the restaurants that we have been to since starting our food adventures in October 2014: Graffiato Sabor de Cuba Absolute Noodle and Sushi Bar El Centro D.F. Shaw's Tavern Pho Wheels Food Truck Nage Seasons 52 Second State Astro Doughnuts & Fried Chicken Food Truck El Rey Po Boy Jim Wicked Waffle ShopHouse Kitchen Grilled Cheese Bar DC Stoney's Central Michel Richard The Pig Moby Dick Sushi All Set Restaurant a

We figured we should use our first blog post to welcome you to our blog and introduce ourselves. My name is Simone.  I enjoy cooking, eating, and trying new things--even if my anxiety may say "no." If I call you my family or friend then I love you and will harm anyone if they test my love.  I genuinely love food. And my name is Damien. I really, really love to laugh. Honestly, I think people like it when I laugh because my laughter can sometimes be a "little" out of control. My family and friends mean everything to me, and food has always been a great means to connect with the people that I love. We met in college at Philadelphia University in 2003. To this day, we constantly debate when we actually became friends. But the thing we definitely agree on is that it didn't take long for us to become best friends. Throughout our time at PhilaU, graduate school, and now in this thing called "adulthood," we have been there for each other a
